Creating a Portfolio

September 2025 - October 2025

Beginning the process by creating sketches to map out the structure, layout, and flow of the website, Christy carefully considered how users would navigate and interact with the content. These initial ideas were then refined in Figma, where visual elements, typography, and color schemes were explored and finalized to establish a cohesive and appealing design. The PDF shown is one of the drafts created during the Figma process. After finalizing the majority of the design decisions, the website was coded in HTML and CSS, with careful attention to following the W3C’s standards to ensure accessibility, making the site usable and navigable for all users, including those relying on assistive technologies.

Humanities Core: Digital Archive and Research

September 2023 - June 2024

Created as part of UCI’s Humanities Core “Worldbuilding” theme, this project features a digital archive that presents Christy’s interpretations of how people imagine, construct, and reshape their worlds through art, history, and media. The archive also traces the analytical framework and creative reasoning that guided her approach to the accompanying research paper. Her end-of-the-year paper examines the immersive storytelling of Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure, exploring how narrative, design, and sensory experience converge to shape audience perception. Through the lens of worldbuilding, the project reflects on how constructed environments can transcend physical space to evoke emotion, curiosity, and transformation.
